The Third Eye Tribe was first conceived in 1994 with the intent of fusing electronic music with classical Indian music and bunghra. The Tribe has changed completely from this but retaining the original intent to use electronic music to marry musical genres that would otherwise be difficult to create. And how does on draw together many influence and sounds and still have some cohesion? Unity threw Dub. By musically referencing to the roots of Jamaican sound system culture which birthed hip hop culture., DUB Reggae is often the commonality in the music created. Sometimes these refrences are so abstracted the roots are reshaped into complety new styles of music. With the incorporation of Emcees and instrumentalist the boundaries and form of the Third Eye Tribe have had an elastic and morphic exploration of what they are. This open concept has lead to its current stable manifestation.
